This project began as an opportunity to combine two of my favourite interests: science fiction and world building. Set within a fictional universe of my own creation, the project focused on designing a security craft for the Qadira Gate, a remote desert trade outpost on the fictional planet Tareph.
Developed in Shapr3D, the E-12 Dart Wing was designed to reflect both its environment and purpose. Drawing inspiration from desert sails, birds of prey, and defensive animal forms, the craft transforms from a compact patrol vehicle into an aggressive pursuit craft through its expanding spine sail system. A key focus throughout the project was designing the vehicle as though it could genuinely function, with all major movement and transformation systems carefully considered and mapped out. Designed to patrol trade routes and pursue threats across the harsh desert landscape, the final craft combines cinematic visual storytelling with believable mechanical functionality while remaining grounded within the world it was created to serve.
